the hardest fight – from stills to motion

Have just finished my first short film The Hardest Fight and it’s getting a great reaction so, if you have 3 minutes spare in your day, do take a look

HDDSLR hero Vincent Laforet (no less!!!!) just gave me the thumbs up and I’m really psyched!!!!

“Fantastic location and story – very very nice – v”

Also on YouTube

If you don’t already know the work of Vincent Laforet – both as a photographer and a film maker then be sure to check out his site

What I respect most about him is that he is NOT afraid to share information so that others get the inspiration to go make the leap into motion & try it for themselves!!!!!!!

Enjoy what’s left of the summer

jade and joe

I shot this footage with the manual in one hand and the camera in the other!!! I didn’t have a clue what I was doing.
Going from stills to motion I didn’t even know what shutter speed to set the camera on for video…Still, for all its technical ‘mistakes’ I like this little black and white film.

While I was filming Jade I came across Joe – who’d swim the English Channel more times than he could remember.
There’s something about the self deprecating, stiff upper lip, stoicism of the Brits that’s difficult to find elsewhere……….it’s what I love about the culture and the way it celebrates the individuals among us.
